Hey, I'm Lacey! I'm so happy I finally had the time to sit down and join, because God has blessed me with so much and I would like to give back to Him what He gave me through doing good for others. I'm a freshman, run cross country and am on the track team, and oneday hope to go to Texas Tech University and graduate with a degree in journalism, eventually becoming an editor or writer of some sort. But that's in the future. Now I'm involved in 4-H ( I'm the club reporter), love reading and swimming (you can't get enough of THAT in this hot west Texas weather :), and spending time with my two younger sisters (yep, I'm the old wise one). I'm also a member of Student Council and am a leader of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). One of my latest achievements (aside from surviving 8th grade english) is getting an invitation to a National Leadership Conference that will be held in Austin next summer. One of the major things I've learned from all those mornings attending mass and Sunday school classes, if anything, is that God doesn't just want us to read the Bible and pray and - He wants us to act like we're Christians too. FreeRice is just one more opportunity for me to do that :)
