Blog entry 5 Reasons Students Should Care About Hunger
Morris is an intern at the World Food Programme (WFP) headquarters in Rome. We asked him what he would list as the top five reasons students should care about hunger.
Here's one reason: "As young people, we cannot afford to take a ride to the future with our backs turned to the issues. We have to get in the engine room now and get involved in the fixing."
These are reasons you can use when explaining to your friends and family why they should play Freerice and why they should Get Involved!
Do you have your own reasons for fighting hunger? Let us know by adding your comment below!
Freerice is maintained by and supports the United Nations World Food Programme, the world's largest humanitarian organisation fighting hunger worldwide. To find out more go to WFP.org

We're lucky we have a computer to play games or whatever. At least open up another tab or page play this while waiting for something to load or in your free time.
wow. hunger im most parts of the world is very high. to me hunger is that some people dont have moey to buy food, nor do the live in a house they live on the streets just ponder that thought. thats why i sighned up for this website. i am not rich but at least i have a home and food. thank you god.
nice reasons. Freerice is good for everyone to play because they are changing the world and their learning at the same time its awesome!
I play because if I were starving, I would be praying that someone would help me. I help because I'd want help. A child dies of hunger every ten seconds. That's 8640 a day. I play to get that number to 0.
Spreading the word is free, and means more rice for freerice.com. So get talking, whether it be on facebook, twitter, email, or speaking. SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!!
We don't have to worry about where the next meal comes from, so instead, we should worry about theirs.
While I can't think of any other good reasons to help convince people to play FreeRice in the first place on top of that list, I do have one thing in mind that might help get people playing:
Tell people while they listen to their favourite music in the background, whether on the computer like YouTube, music player, or whatever else, play some FreeRice as well.
Remind them too that every little bit helps. :)
Am I the first person to comment this time?
To help the less fortunate people, and give them a share of how fortunate we are.
you are right on
