Blog entry A Mother's Choice: Educating her kids or someone to work in the field
In Bolivia, a woman must often choose between depriving her daughter of an education and having no one to work in the fields. This is due to the fact that Bolivia is one of the poorest countries in Latin America: of its 9.5 million population, two thirds live below the poverty line.
It's a choice that no mother should have to make. Just $50, that works out at roughly 14 cents per day for a year, provides nutritious meals for a schoolchild, enabling a family to keep their daughter in school and fueling hopes for a brighter future.
This mother's day, you can send an eCard as a gift to a mother close to you that will be help create a new life for a mother far away. Your eCard will include a description explaining how your eCard is helping another mother, and a personal note.
