Every year, the World Food Programme feeds over 90 million people in over 70 countries. Considering that there are about 31.5 million seconds in year, counting one number per second, it would take you almost 3 years to count the number of people that WFP feeds every year!

Using freerice to help feed hungry people makes me feel so good!

A small request: Would it be possible to make an iPhone and iPod Touch app so we could earn rice on-the-go? I have tried using your website on my iTouch, but it's a small screen and involves a lot of zooming in and required internet connections that I don't always have (therefore if you could do it without an internet connection and sync the rice later that would be great). Please help me earn even more rice!

It's great to feed people but we need to remember why they are hungry in the first place. Look into where your clothes/coffee/chocolate come from.
