Hundreds of Freerice players have submitted suggestions and ideas on how to improve the game through the feedback forum, accessed through the orange feedback tab, located to the left of this blog post.

Freerice has managed to raise enough rice to feed 4.3 million people, entirely through word-of-mouth advertising. And so, the community's experience and its needs are truly central to the game. For this reason, each suggestion is reviewed and based on the number of votes will be considered for future developments.

You can also join the conversation on our official Facebook and Twitter profiles.

You should also add action packed typing games for those who are learning to type.

When I play, I noticed that most of the time there are no banners underneath the answers. Am I getting rice even when I don't see the banners or not? Can someone please reply? Please?

Fri, 03/04/2011 - 05:44 Legopro2

how do you add friends?

Sat, 01/22/2011 - 21:41 ammadxx1

there should be a thing where when you are playing the game there should be a place where you can type a countries name and all of the rice you earned that day goes there, and the country should be a needy one like Pakistan, or Haiti, or Sri Lanka

I don't like how it takes 24 hours to update your grains. You should make it 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000(u get the point.)001 miliseconds to update. I also think that when you donate grains, it also donates other foods. (yes its more complicated, but this is to save live so dont be lazy people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

More food sounds like a great idea! I would also like to unlock more subjects/quizzes, etc. Please join my group if you're a girl - it's called Girls Against Hunger!!!!!! Thanks!

I would like give following suggestions :

1. Add more catagories
Eg. Biggest, Tallest, First Ever , Last, Shortest etc. invoving other GK questions in General Knowledge section.
2.Add other subject based quizzes like physics, history , Psychology etc.
3.As a friend suggested , After completing some level ,other quizzes should be unlocked.
4.User could add a question and its answer , After answer is verified it should be appended to Quiz.

I agree with the people who suggested history questions. Japanese and Maori would be great languages to add as mentioned already by others. Also movie and book trivia would be great to add. But the one I think would be best is Famous Faces, not of just actors/actresses but also politicians, scientists etc

Mon, 11/29/2010 - 06:43 Illaroo Road

I think you should:
1. add more subjects and
2. add chicken and other foods to the website as well so you can choose what food to give. It would be a great idea especially for Christmas and birthdays and just to make people smile.

Sun, 11/28/2010 - 10:51 PolishBuddha

well you could add some sort of IQ or EQ tests, test to recognise famous music, famous people, quotations, even test about major religions. World's history isn't bad idea IMHO.
Great site & great idea - but REALLY - MORE QUESTIONS/ SUBJECTS! :D

Sun, 11/28/2010 - 03:17 mello2342

Maybe you could make a new subject and the questions could be animal trivia =D I like animals and learning about them :)

Sat, 11/27/2010 - 10:52 spooktified

link these to the facebook applications where people could really compete and level up, these are concepts that keep facebook the most visited. and of course, with sites that are always visited, there would be more facetime for the game. eventually a lot of people would realize that having fun, learning, and donating for FREE is the next biggest thing.

Since not everyone can donate, that could also work for a lot of people. weekly tournaments and group tournaments within facebook, friendster, myspace, etc. would do the best...

Sat, 11/27/2010 - 07:24 Joeyjoe

You shoul make an app for the iPhone or iPod touch or a mobile version of the website

Sat, 11/27/2010 - 00:32 Edge Of Sanity

Maybe for science you could make it so it isn't just the chemicals table, more of a variety, if you know what I mean.

Sat, 11/27/2010 - 00:23 S.M.A.

I would like to see more questions for the languages that are already available (especially French) as I've completed the question list a dozen times over.
Good work Freerice! It's neat to have a website like this out there.

Fri, 11/26/2010 - 19:20 ShannonD

I would absolutely love a category devoted to world flags!!!

Fri, 11/26/2010 - 03:54 Javi Balkaran

My totals reflect different scores at different places. My total score is far less than my real score.

Thu, 11/25/2010 - 23:56 Chess Tyrant

Needs more difficult mathematics subjects/levels.

Thu, 11/25/2010 - 20:51 80schica

I think there should be a catergory aimed at SAT/ACT/etc. stuff

Thu, 11/25/2010 - 17:31 all4God

perhaps, you should add more categories. =D. i don't have idea of a new category though. =D

Thu, 11/25/2010 - 05:11 mydolphin86

Could you PLEASE fix the bugs??
1.) I earned 11,000 grains today but on the second time I logged in it said 7,000???? So I lost grains?? D:
2.) Some questions take a long time to load.

Thank you!!

Thu, 11/25/2010 - 02:15 mydolphin86

Add more languages, such as traditional and simplified chinese, more advanced math, different sports, and maybe some games please? Thank you!

Thu, 11/25/2010 - 01:49 jenn467

I know I commented recently, but when reading other suggestions, I got an idea. If people earn a certain amount of rice, they can unlock new games and new subjects. I think this would be a great way for people to stay motivated!
Keep giving rice,

Wed, 11/24/2010 - 17:02 rainbowroadlover

I think there should be games. Like Mazes or Crosswords. I think you should earn 100 grains, Then play! I think we will donate like 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) grains a day. We've gotten close to a billion, but not more. I think games would be fun.

My friend and I love Freerice! I would love to see a Music category, maybe on notes or instruments? I would also like to see a sports category. I know one of Freerice's goals is to be educational, but more people might sign up if there are games other than the educational ones. Keep giving rice!

From social networking to even stoping hunger, people want to be able to access and make a difference through their mobile devices! I urge an Update for "MobileRice" on the App Store. Millions of more people are already participating and making a difference through their phone on MobileRice, but the application lacks many features such as automatically adjusting your level, letting you choose more subjects, and letting you sign into your account. With an updated application, people could help end world hunger more interactively while on the go. :)

Tue, 11/23/2010 - 10:50 Ricamon

Freerice is a good way to learn but, I would like some more subjects. Like physics.

Tue, 11/23/2010 - 10:12 yayrice

since it's a word game, it's a game SAT/GRE preppers can use! so i think targeting these particular users and catering to their needs--e.g., sentence completion, analogies, etc.--could help! :)

Tue, 11/23/2010 - 02:46 makarschuk

I know that many have said this before but I think Russian or Ukrainian would be a nice subject to add. Another subject I would like to see is pre-calculus and/or calculus. Could you please make English Grammar more than two levels please? Thank you for reading my suggestions!

Tue, 11/23/2010 - 02:35 Beauttifullady

Hi there.I would be interested in having NZ Maori added as a subject as many people in NZ know and speak it. Also for my son who is having trouble with simple multiplication and division basic facts that would also be a great subject.

Mon, 11/22/2010 - 09:12 markquailmccord

I believe that an iPhone app would be very useful!!! For people like me who can't always access a computer but always has their Droid or iPhone!

Mon, 11/22/2010 - 06:01 Matthew95

Adding a few different languages would be nice, like Russian and Japanese. Also maybe make the vocabulary not all synonyms, throw in some antonyms or something like that.

Mon, 11/22/2010 - 00:27 Yami7Icetalon

I love this site. Thank you so much.

I agree with 'tokitaco'- I would very much enjoy being able to do Japanese on Freerice.

Sun, 11/21/2010 - 22:37 pacisperpes97

I love this site!

It definitely needs more subjects, more levels, more questions, wider range of questions....

subjects i would include are:
math-algebra, regents, SAT,more levels in multiplications and pre-algebra(at least to level 30) geometry, calculus, trig. In this priority.

science- cells, human body, cycles(ie: nitrogen, carbon cycle), diffusion, physics, regents

languages: Manderian Chinese, Japanese,

fun: music, movies,sports,actors/actresses, books

Sun, 11/21/2010 - 04:54 rockhoppern

I love freerice! what I would say to freerice is to include other different languages.

Sun, 11/21/2010 - 02:00 HaRdWoRkInG

I would prefer like a mouse game. Where you easily click dots and donate rice.

Sat, 11/20/2010 - 20:02 Pastorsam

I agree with the others who mentioned Greek and Latin roots as a potential catagory. Historic Dates would also be really cool. Music Theory would probably be my favorite if it existed.

Sat, 11/20/2010 - 17:46 omsowls

First off, Free Rice is awesome!!! However, it would be more awesome if it had more Language subjects, Algebra (not pre), and more Geography. Also, I think even more people would use Free Rice if it had some sort of game if you answer so many questions correctly. It would give kids a second to rest their brains and make them work harder to learn the right answers so they can play a game. It's worked on other websites, why not here?

Sat, 11/20/2010 - 16:23 rainbowroadlover

I think you should earn more grains of rice. Instead of 10 grains per question. It should be 25. WHO'S WITH ME?!?! MORE RICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sat, 11/20/2010 - 04:15 cgeudy

FREE RICE is genious. I always feel like I'm really making a difference when I have a few minutes to do this and that of course feels great. Knowing I can help someone eat with just a few minutes each day is pretty much awesome! I'm a junior in high school and I can study on this for Spanish and I always get really excited when I get a lot right! I hope that one day I can go to a country and personally bring the unfortunate bags and bags of rice :)

Sat, 11/20/2010 - 04:07 JellyBean99

I personly would like to see how many people I have to see how much I am actually Donating!

Fri, 11/19/2010 - 23:18 Batman007

I would love an iPhone application. Being able to do free rice on the go (even 5 questions at a time) would greatly increase the amount of rice I'd be able to donate. With a freerice app, waiting for the bus, standing in line at McDonald's, and waiting in the checkout line at the grocery store could all be spent making a difference, instead of making me bored/upset.

Fri, 11/19/2010 - 13:45 Edderz

Don't add any more subjects until you have fixed the bugs!

Fri, 11/19/2010 - 11:34 J9

I am addicted to this! Try to donate a minimum of 1000 grains every day. It's a great way to learn and do something useful at the same time.
